Mono no aware (mono-no-a-wa-ri) is an expression that originated in Japanese literature, expressing sensitivity, nostalgia and beauty toward the fleetingness of life, and its constant change as in the case of a falling leaf or a bud that opens and becomes a flower. Nature is fragile and ephemeral, and traditional Japanese thought admires and respects its times. Humans, aware that they are part of this fragility are amazed spectators, marveling, fascinated and tenderhearted by such transience.
The term “aware” was originally just an exclamation of wonder, similar to our “Oh!”, but over time it has acquired a deeper meaning. Mono no aware means recognizing that each moment is unique and unrepeatable.
It is a positive melancholy, one that arises when we realize that we are inside a special moment in our lives, something that will never return, and for which we should be grateful.

Journaling is a practice that allows us to express thoughts, emotions express and deep feelings related to life events whether they are positive or negative. The term comes from the French word “journal,” which means “daily,” and refers to a diary that accompanies us in our daily lives.
The main goal of journaling is to improve psychological and cognitive well-being, self-care and self-exploration, reduce stress and improve mood. It also helps to deal with negative experiences. In recent years, journaling has become popular in contexts such as personal growth and life coaching. It can be carried out on a regular or sporadic basis.
The proposed workshop is simple and innovative in that it combines two practices in one: journaling and calligraphy. A course in freewriting, essentially handwriting, will be followed. A selection of calligraphy materials and tools will be available. The purpose is to get in touch with one’s emotions through form, color and mark making, to infuse written words with a new look and make them changeable.

The benefits of journaling can be:
– Increased self-awareness and personal confidence.
– Clarification of thoughts and emotions.
– Reflection on one’s experience.
– Release from negative emotions and improved well-being.
– Stimulation of creativity and communication skills.

mutaménto s. m. [der. of mutate]. – The action and effect of changing or mutating: Un’aura dolce, sanza mutamento Avere in sé, mi ferìa per la fronte (Dante), not subject to change or alteration; m. di fortuna, often for the worse; in tanto m. di cose (Boccaccio). It is a more liter. form of change, of com. use spec. in certain locuz. such as: m. of government, of ministers, of political direction; m. in the management of the company have occurred; m. of climate, of season; that boy has made a profound m., referring to character, conduct and the like.In sociological parlance, social m., or also sociocultural, expressions by which we denote, in general, the complex of changes and alterations, not temporary, that take place in the structural components, or major social systems, of a given society, or in human society as a whole; in a narrower sense, every single significant transformation that takes place, in a given period, in the structure of society. In Aristotle’s philosophy, the term (gr. μεταβολή) designates the transition from one contrary to another, namely from non-being to being (birth), from being to non-being (death), from one being to another being (movement).

Dance is an age-old art that is presumed to have originated in India. It is an expressive art form that uses body movement to communicate emotions, to tell stories, ideas and thoughts. The body expresses itself through gestures as if they were words to bring joy and connect mind-body-soul.
Psychologically, dance increases self-esteem and reduces stress levels, providing an important emotional outlet, fostering greater awareness of self and one’s expressive abilities.
In this protected space of free dance, everyone can connect to their deepest selves and through free body movement, they can tell their story or express their emotions. The session ends with the transposition of one’s movement onto paper.A gesture, or rather a sign that encapsulates this particular moment, the beauty of Mono no aware and change.
